Executive Director

Sarah Martinez is the Executive Director at A2I. She earned her Bachelor‘s degree in Human Services from Purdue University and her Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Iowa.

Sarah enjoys traveling and the outdoors, and especially likes trips to Hawaii. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting and finding her "inner child" by coloring.

Kiersten graduated from Mount Mercy University with a degree in Social Work. She started working at A2I in May of 2016 providing services to those living with disabilities. Kiersten loves talking to people and hearing their stories.

Some of Kiersten’s favorite things are hanging out with her awesome family, going to zoos and eating pizza!

Talor Gray, MPH

Talor Gray, MPH

Work Incentive Practitioner

Talor graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and most recently graduated from the University of Iowa with a Master’s of Public Health. Talor is a strong advocate for people with disabilities and enjoys planning art projects for the Expressive Art Group.

Darby Eiben-Prokop

Darby Eiben-Prokop

Independent Living Specialist

Darby Eiben-Prokop works out of our Cedar Rapids office and serves our northern counties. Darby is from the Cedar Rapids area and has lived there throughout his adult life. He has worked in human services for nearly ten years, primarily with non-profit HCBS and SCL providers, and expresses a passion for disability advocacy. This "calling" was ingrained in Darby from a young age while observing his parents who were actively involved in volunteering for local homeless shelters, employed with non-profits, and serving on community center board of directors. Darby enjoys his free time connecting with family and friends, attending sporting events (especially the Hawkeyes), and spending time with his son.

Gerald Rath, MS, CRC

Gerald Rath, MS, CRC

Independent Living Specialist

Gerald Rath moved to Iowa City after working nearly 20 years as a rehabilitation counselor. Originally from Minnesota, Gerald has a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Minnesota State University. Gerald and his wife, Val enjoy eating seafood and getting outside to explore new parks.

Gerald likes to be active and is often busy keeping up with his energetic Shih Tzu, Asher.
