Budgeting means not just having some money or income, but also understanding how to use money to help meet goals. This session will help participants understand the basics of what goes into their budget to stay on track. Participants will learn:

  • How to balance their needs and wants to match their income
  • Basics of credit, credit cards, and banking
  • Tips for saving and protecting their money

All workshops are free; there is no cost to attend. Workshops are intended for individuals who self-identify as having a disability, mental health condition, and/or chronic health condition (rather than family members or service providers). Attendees must live in one of the 8 eastern Iowa counties we serve (Benton, Cedar, Jones, Henry, Johnson, Linn, Iowa, or Washington county).

This is a hybrid workshop. That means participants are welcome to attend in-person OR  online. Advanced registration is required for all participants regardless of attendance format.
