Developing some technical skills can be an important part of community living. This session is designed to support participants in learning new technical skills, whether that is using a computer, getting online and using the internet, or using assistive technology. Participants will learn:

  • The basics of what computers are and how to use them
  • The many different ways they can use the internet and keep safe doing it
  • About assistive technology and how it could benefit their lives

All workshops are free; there is no cost to attend. Workshops are intended for individuals who self-identify as having a disability, mental health condition, and/or chronic health condition (rather than family members or service providers). Attendees must live in one of the 8 eastern Iowa counties we serve (Johnson, Linn, Washington, Benton, Cedar, Jones, Henry, or Iowa county).

This is a hybrid workshop. That means participants are welcome to attend in-person OR  online. Advanced registration is required for all participants regardless of attendance format.
