This session helps participants learn more about transportation options and resources, so that they will be able to find ways to get to where they need to go and be as independent as possible in their community. Participants will learn:

  • Strategies for taking short and long trips
  • The many different transportation options to get around their communities
  • Tips for getting to know their communities and staying safe while out in them

All workshops are free; there is no cost to attend. Workshops are intended for individuals who self-identify as having a disability, mental health condition, and/or chronic health condition (rather than family members or service providers). Attendees must live in one of the 8 eastern Iowa counties we serve (Johnson, Linn, Washington, Benton, Cedar, Jones, Henry, or Iowa county).

This is a hybrid workshop. That means participants are welcome to attend in-person OR  online. Advanced registration is required for all participants regardless of attendance format.
